Flora Lau

Flora is an explorer at heart.  She is interested in people and their spaces at particular times.  She loves to listen to different people’s conversations and observe their behaviors in trains, cafes, waiting rooms, or any corners she may happen to be situated.  Exploring the intricacy of human interaction and capturing people’s different perspectives in life and everything else is what excites her as a photographer and filmmaker.

She recently completed her Masters in Filmmaking at the London Film School.  She has since returned to Hong Kong - a place called home.  Her short film "Dry Rain" was awarded Best Short Award at 2009 Hong Kong International Film Festival.  She is now developing a feature film project, taking photos and being the editor-in-chief of deemah.hk, a cultural website in HK.
